From a builder’s grade basic kitchen
To this Kitchen with Character in just 2 days!
1. This original builder’s-grade kitchen had great potential from the start. We decided not to replace the doors; instead, we applied MDF wood planks to the existing flat panels to create the look of Shaker-style doors. We also built a custom dummy slipcover hood around the existing stainless-steel hood, seamlessly integrating it with the cabinetry.

2. We added open MDF cubbies in the space above the upper cabinets and finished everything with crown moulding.

3. Everything was then carefully covered in plastic, and the doors were primed and spray-painted on site.

4. After the cabinets dried, we applied a beautiful peel-and-stick backsplash tile—easy, fast, and mess-free.

5. Then we styled and accessorized! New aged brass hardware, a brass rail on the range hood, and a small brass rail above the stove styled with petite copper pots. Lighting, baskets, vases, cutting boards, and books all came together to add warmth, texture, and layered decor.
